Reflections

With the release of Special Delivery and the plans to create content on a more regular basis, I’ve decided it’s time to start a blog. Regardless of whether people read this or not, I still need a place where I can organize my thoughts and ideas for future projects or reflect on previous ones.

So, let’s start with Special Delivery. Special Delivery was my umpteenth attempt to create a series with definite characters and tentative plot. This was also my first attempt that was actually completed. My first idea for a series ever was a comedy about war, which I gave up on when Tankmen came out halfway through production. My second was a psychological thriller about a guy with telekinetic powers. This is still a possibility as a collaborated comic book with my friend, but not anytime soon. The rest never made it out of their conceptual stages. Finally, I just decided I was going to write a script and finish it no matter what. This, combined with having a voice actress waiting on a final product helped me push past some obstacles which would have made me give up in the past. Obstacles like Flash deleting movieclips arbitrarily, my computer corrupting files for no discernable reason, and finding out that my brilliant idea about pizza delivery guys is as old as time. This stupid flash took me ten months to make, but I did it, and that’s what counts.
